Government Funding for 50% of Asset Purchases

Have you heard about the Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy?

The WA Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation has made funding available for only the next 6 months, so get in quick as it could cover 50% of eligible costs up to $20,000.

Called the “Government’s Plan for Jobs” initiative, the first round of applications will be reviewed in May 2018 and the grant is only available until November 2018, so don’t delay or you might miss out.

What do you get

A 50% refund for eligible costs up to a maximum refund of $20,000 (excluding GST) per applicant.

This is unrelated to the instant tax write off scheme, it’s a brand new government scheme.

Funding is available for many things, including but not limited to:

  • Expert consultant services
  • Equipment
  • Improvements to internal business infrastructure and systems
  • Training and assistance with applying for Grants

This funding round will focus on improving the competitiveness of businesses in WA. Specifically seeking to enhance or add to your capabilities and be better prepared to participate as suppliers of products, services and works.

This refund scheme will be of great benefit to any company looking to invest in their business.

Our Experience

Last time this funding was available one client claimed the full $20,000 available to assist with purchasing a new vehicle. Our last application helped us buy a $12,000 server and every client is aware this funding is available again. We will definitely be re-applying for funding.

Whilst there are many government funds, this is one of a few grants with broad eligibility criteria, which makes it available for most businesses.
