One of the trickiest indicators that you’re dealing with wire fraud is often in a sender’s email address.
Criminals will often imitate legitimate email addresses to fool people. For example, if your accountant’s email address is email@example.com, an attacker might use the address firstname.lastname@example.org.
As Cybersecurity Mondays continue, always remember to verify that the sender and the email address are legitimate before making any transactions or logging into your bank accounts.
