--- title: "ServiceM8 Partner in Perth: Setup, Training and Add-ons | CCP" description: "ServiceM8 partner in Perth: configuration, staff training and custom add-ons for field-services businesses Australia-wide. Our own add-on is on the directory." url: "https://ccp.com.au/services/servicem8/" --- # ServiceM8 partner in Perth ## Get ServiceM8 fitting the way your business actually runs. Set up around your jobs, your forms and your accounting, with your staff trained on it. Where the platform stops, we write the add-on. We publish one on the ServiceM8 directory ourselves, so we know where configuration stops and code starts. Perth-based, working with field-services businesses Australia-wide. Example setup Signed off Job categories and forms Configured Existing data Migrated Link to your accounting Connected Field and office staff Trained ## ServiceM8 implementation and training ### One engagement instead of four suppliers. You’re not stitching together an implementation consultant, a trainer, an integration developer and a separate shop for the add-on. All four are in one engagement, with one team accountable for the lot. - #### Implementation and setup New to ServiceM8, or moving off paper, spreadsheets or a job-management system that stopped fitting. Job categories, forms, templates, badges, scheduling rules and security roles built around your work, plus the link into your accounting. - #### Staff training that sticks Field staff learn differently to office staff, and both learn differently to the owner. Each group gets its own session, in person around Perth or online everywhere else. Recordings come with it, so a new hire gets the same training. - #### Connecting ServiceM8 to your other systems Xero, MYOB, Microsoft 365, your customer database, supplier portals, dispatch and routing tools. Most connect with what’s already there. The ones that don’t, we build, so nobody re-types data. - #### Custom add-on development When ServiceM8 doesn’t cover something, we build the add-on. It can be private to your account, or published on the ServiceM8 directory to share the build cost with other operators. Servicing Manager is one of ours. ## ServiceM8 job management software ### ServiceM8, built for trades and field services. ServiceM8 is the job-management platform underneath all of this. Australian-built, made for trades and field services, and used by operators in over 30 countries. ServiceM8 is excellent at one-off jobs. Recurring service contracts and maintenance plans are harder. Who is due, who is overdue and who is up for billing? Which finished jobs should have advanced a schedule? Customers kept asking, so we built it and published it on the ServiceM8 add-on directory. The dashboard Two questions, answered at a glance. What service work is due in the next four weeks, and what contracts are up for billing in the next two. Click into either to bulk-create jobs or bulk-bill the lot. Schedules across every customer Every recurring schedule on your account, filterable and sortable. One screen shows who is overdue, what equipment is involved, and which schedules bill to a contract instead of per visit. Inside the ServiceM8 customer card A read-only servicing summary inside every customer record. Your staff see it without leaving the workflow they already know. - [Read the Servicing Manager privacy policy](https://ccp.com.au/privacy/servicing-manager-for-servicem8/) - [About ServiceM8 ](https://www.servicem8.com) ## Data security in the Servicing Manager add-on ### Your add-on data stays in Australia, and stays yours. - #### Australian-hosted Amazon Web Services in Sydney. All add-on data stays in Australia, with point-in-time recovery behind it, so a record deleted by accident can be restored. - #### Separated from every other account Every record is keyed to your ServiceM8 account, so no other business can reach your data. The add-on has its own privacy policy covering what it reads and stores. - #### Your ServiceM8 fields stay yours Other tools cram their data into ServiceM8 custom fields, then hit length limits and stripped characters. Ours keeps its data in its own database. ## When a ServiceM8 add-on is worth building ### Most ServiceM8 problems don’t need custom code. ServiceM8 is more capable than it looks. A lot of what people ask us to build turns out to be a form template, a job category, a badge rule or a setting. You hear that from us before you get a quote for code. - #### A custom add-on is the right answer when you are - Tracking something that doesn’t fit a job or a customer record: recurring schedules, equipment lifecycle, compliance certificates, multi-step approvals. - Integrating with a system ServiceM8 has no connector for, where the volume of records justifies the build. - Saving minutes on a workflow that touches enough staff for those minutes to add up each week. If none of those fit, we configure what ServiceM8 already has and tell you so. Faster, cheaper, and no third party to chase when the platform changes. ## How a ServiceM8 project works ### Four steps from scoping call to ServiceM8 go-live. We handle the handover with your current provider. Your staff keep working throughout. 1. Step 1 · Free #### Scoping call 30 to 45 minutes on what you’re trying to do, where ServiceM8 helps today, where it doesn’t, and the tools you juggle around it. No deck. Nothing to sign. 2. Step 2 · Within a week #### Written recommendation One page: what to configure, what to integrate and what, if anything, needs building. An indicative price range for each piece, and the order we would do them in. 3. Step 3 #### Configure and train We configure the platform, migrate your existing data and train the team. You sign off each milestone before we move to the next. 4. Step 4 #### Build the custom pieces, if any Custom code comes last, after the core platform is configured. By then the add-on’s job is obvious, not guessed at in a workshop. ## ServiceM8 questions ### Straight answers. Or skip the reading: call [(08) 9467 2269](tel:+61894672269) and ask an engineer. ### We already use ServiceM8. Can you just take over from our current partner? Yes. You don’t start over. We audit how the platform is configured today against what the business actually does. Then we flag the gaps and live issues, and work through them in priority order. If the existing setup is fine, we say so. ### Do you only work with air conditioning, plumbing or electrical trades? No. We work with any field-services business on ServiceM8. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, pumps, gates and doors, and fire lean hardest on Servicing Manager, because they run maintenance plans. Cleaning, pest control, locksmithing, security and signage all run on the platform too. ### We are not in Perth. Does that matter? For ServiceM8 work, no. Implementation, training and add-on development all run remotely, and we have customers across Australia. On-site IT work is a separate service bound to our service area, and most ServiceM8 engagements don’t need it. ### How long does an implementation take? Four to eight weeks for a single business, depending on how much data has to migrate and how many staff need training. That is elapsed time, not effort. Most of the calendar goes on scheduling training around your busy season and signing off each milestone. ### We need an integration ServiceM8 has no connector for. Can you build it? Usually, yes. ServiceM8 publishes an application programming interface (API) plus webhooks for events. That covers anything on the other end with an API of its own. The real question is whether enough records move across to justify the build, and we’ll tell you which side of that line you are on. ### Do you offer ongoing support for the platform after go-live? Yes, two ways. Inside a CCP [managed IT](https://ccp.com.au/services/managed-it/) engagement, where we look after ServiceM8 alongside your Microsoft 365, devices, phones, internet and security. Or as a standalone ServiceM8 support retainer if your IT is covered elsewhere. The team that implemented it does the support. ### Can you build a private add-on just for our business? Yes. ServiceM8 allows private add-ons that only your account can install, for work too specific to your business to publish. If the build is general enough that other operators would want it, we talk about whether publishing improves the economics for everyone.
